The art deco style of the room was lovely and created a romantic atmosphere for our escape. The pool was refreshing and we enjoyed lounging by the water. The hotel's proximity to the beach and local restaurants made it easy to explore the area without the need for much transportation.
The room lacked some basic amenities that we expected from a hotel of this caliber, such as a coffee maker. Additionally, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable and we had trouble sleeping throughout our stay. We felt that the value for the price we paid was not worth it, and we would not choose to stay here again in the future.

This hotel is the perfect location for ocean lovers, with a short walk to the beach and stunning ocean views from many rooms. The rooms are spacious and offer great service with delicious breakfast. I loved the leisure facilities, such as the luxurious pool area and lively entertainment. One of my favorite aspects as a budget traveler was the private beach area with comfortable beds provided by the hotel.
The hotel could improve on its internet service.

The complimentary drinks at check-in were nice, and the location was convenient for exploring the area. Also, the room had a nice view of the ocean.
The smell in the lobby and hallways was terrible – it smelled like mold and mildew. The room itself wasn't much better, with musty odors and dampness. To make matters worse, the pool was dirty and not well maintained. It's unfortunate that my Thanksgiving there was ruined by these issues.

We're staying in room 1009 on the 10th floor. Sea view. It was beautiful. Every day we went to the beach in the morning and when we came back at noon we had our room clean. pool. that the hotel has (it has two but I liked the mileage better). is beautiful. huge and comfortable bed. One day we took advantage of the breakfast that costs 25 dollars per person, although it seemed expensive to me,. is very abundant. I told them that my stay was due to the celebration of my birthday and when they gave us the room I had a message. Happy Birthday and a complimentary fruit basket. hotel is in. an incredible location, one block from the Lincoln and a few blocks from the. Ocean Drive.
To leave the car at the hotel costs 45 dollars (I recommend you to leave it at the James Street, around the corner from the hotel that charges 25 dollars). Although we never suffered any destruction from the staff, I do not consider them kind people. IMPORTANT FACT: in the room rate includes two chairs and towels for both the pool and beach but does not include the umbrella. If you use it you will be charged 19 dollars per day. Breakfast is 25 dollars. it is abundant and buffet, even so it was very expensive, lifts should be maintained a little. one on the left entering through the main door doesn't even have a light on the LOBBY key and you never know if you pressed it right. in fact everyone who went up there pressed it again, (this is bullshit but it can serve as a suggestion. MAINTENANCE TO LIFTERS),

Location. Despite being next to the Delano and SLS, no noise was felt in the rooms. Comfortable and spacious beds. Very good pool area and bar. Quick access to the beach.
First day in the morning and I'm stuck in an elevator for 15 minutes with my mom. Manager Meryl, she offers us breakfast. She could have been more proactive and offered compensation for the bad time and what could have been a problem if either of us passed out. Finally, after pleading, they give us compensation. In the next few days they fixed the elevator, there were no more problems. Just delays going up and down. There are problems with Housekeeping and laundry: they never put more than two clean towels in the room, so we had to make daily claims for extra towels for showering. unusual thing is that they didn't leave any toilet paper either, you had to call several times to have it replaced because it was over. problem of the towels also occurred on the beach. There were never towels for all the guests before noon, is fatal if you want to take advantage of the beach, very disconcerting since they charge a resort fee of USD25 per day... I imagine that to pay for the towels you use. And, to top it all off, one night when I returned the car, valet was talking on his cell phone and told me to leave the key at the front desk. I do it without problems and I leave my data in reception. At 1am they call me to the room where they can't find the car key... WHAT! For me, it was already too late. They already left me with insomnia. I go every year to Miami Beach, I've stayed in many hotels in the area. For the price of US$350/day, stay was below expectations. hotel can be spectacular if they arrange for housekeeping and towels. Manager Meryl tried to arrange things and compensated financially for the bad time (we even got a courtesy late check out which was quite appreciated), I expected more from a hotel in this category. I'll probably give it a second chance... location is too good and problems easy to fix if you read this post.

Great pool, awesome location and nice hotel
We were moved to the new rooms, because the older rooms are really antiquated and in desperate need of renovation - new rooms great but beds are really uncomfortable

This is the 2nd time we stayed with the National. The rooms are beautiful, the location fantastic. We were beside the beach but also beside all the restaurants and shops. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Would stay there again and highly recommend the hotel. Only negative, it is expensive.

nice and central. great beach. lovely pool area.
only criticism was the very loud banging music piped at the pool area, need your own ipod to drown it out.
